Does anyone know about this website....or seen the thing they did on TSS about it....if anyone has do i have do download all the files that they show??? each site i go to has a list of files to dl? and im only dowloading one know thats the biggest....do i need all the other junk???

no just the one big iso file just make shure you get the english version

Goto linuxiso.org and do a search, it'll come up Knoppix, and obviously, it's an ISO. I use Knoppix and it's good. Very unique.

alright i got it a while ago....just got a cd burner for it to work....and i like it a lot...especially all the games....just dont know how to use the command line and stuff :D

Just got a used lap top from a friend for nothing
Is a compaq armada 700 with a 450 p3
128 megs ram
it has no operating system
can i use my knoppix
can it be installed on the hard drive

If you have a CD-ROM drive just put the Knoppix ISO on CD, and set your BIOS to boot to CD 1st. Then pop in the CD (Knoppix) and the computer will boot to it, load Knoppix and there ya go.

Make note - any changes you make w/in Knoppix obviously won't be saved because the CD can no longer be written to.
