View Full Version : Need Help on deciding a Motherboard

I'm wanting a new motherboard, i know i want one with DDR, 8x AGP, and good overclocking ability, please give me some suggestions as well as pros and cons, thank you

system specs:
2.2 P4
512 ddr 2100
120 wd hd
ti 4600 (will have a geforcefx as soon as they are released, that is why 8x is necessary to me)
sb audigy platinum
lite on cdrw and dvd
intel m/b : (

intel....bad by a new processor as well....get and Epox board....there nice and durable and overclock like mad....have on myself, havent had a problem....real nice boards :D

actually, ddr is great. rambus is dieing out. rollier0401, several companies make great boards. i like the gigabyte GA-8INXP ( http://www.giga-byte.com/products/8inxp.htm ). but abit, asus, soyo and shuttle make great boards, too. check out http://www.tomshardware.com/ you will find nice review on that site for several motherboards.

I have a Soyo mobo and I love it. easily overclockable, performs well, no problems in the six months or so I've had it. mines an amd model, but I'm srure they have one that'll fit your needs.

i'm using the soyo dragon plus right now. it's a great board. never had any problems with it.

Intel 7205 'Granite Bay' Dual Cahnnel DDR chipset.
Asus has a nice one.
