I oced my school computer and supped it up some. I don't have access to my schools control pannel and am runing Win 98. I would like some cool Icons but don't know were to get them and when I do I don't know were to put them.

what kind of protection is the school running? Is it a program called
"Fool Proof"? To do anything you need to first find out what they run, then see if you can change icons 'n stuff.

We run Novel Client Trust and everyone has there own SN and password. The control pannel and taskbar options are the only things I can't do. I do have access to everyother program, file, and folder though.

what icons do you want to change?
if its just a file you created novell should let you do that.

Icons like my computer and documents and trashcan.

if you right click on the desktop and go to properties then go to the effects tab you can change those icons. if you can't get the display window up (depending on how much they spent on Novell) you can just boot into safe mode and try changing them there to.

if they didn't spend= you could just change the icons.
if they spent some= you need to boot into safe mode and change them.
if they spent a fair deal= you change the icons in safe mode and Novell changes them back.
if they spent tons= you couldn't access safe mode without a password.
